Brains Versus Beauty

**poem originally posted on Jadestone Pound and can be found on http://allpoetry.com/poem/2112929**

I'm just a punch line,
To your ugly fat girl jokes.
You point and laugh when I walk by.
I just point and laugh back at you.
Your shallow foolishness,
Makes you look so funny.

I have something you'll never have.
Are you jealous?
I bet you are.
That's why you need,
To ridicule me,
Whenever I enter your field of vision.

You may have the socially accepted looks honey,
But I have the brain.
While you're lying on your back,
Trying to get ahead,
I've already passed you by.
